When people bitch on the subreddit, they ask people to PM more info so they can escalator the ticket. My cell provider's support staff runs their subreddit, but they're very transparent about it and say so in the sidebar. This probably isn't the only subreddit you frequent with employee-mods. It usually works as long as the mods allow criticism, otherwise the community makes their own subreddit and moves on. I'm in several subreddits other than this one that are moderated by the companies that run them. If a subreddit is newer than 5 yrs old and is named after a trademark, I think there's a really good chance it is moderated by the company. Most companies do not moderate their own subreddit. IIRC Gunfire Games moderates their own community on reddit as well, but there is no issue with them taking advantage- It would still be a conflict of interest. Whether or not it is ignored until it becomes a problem or not- is another thing. Just because a company has power in the subreddit and doesn't take advantage- IE, censoring etc- doesn't mean they don't have a conflict of interest. Sometimes when a company runs their own Reddit, another subreddit will pop up where that company doesn't actually have any involvement. Regardless of their intent or actions- it is a conflict of interest for them to hold that position with that power and also own a business. A conflict of interest, for example, is a business owner that is also in a position of power in politics that makes legislative decisions for local businesses. You don't need to take advantage of the situation to have a conflict of interest. Post bug reports on either our Nolt Board or steam.Keep content related to Tabletop Simulator. I'm getting asked about what happened with regarding moderation of global chat and the suppression of gay/trans identities, so I put together these screenshots and answers. As detailed further into the Google document, Xoe shares several examples where discussing politics and heterosexuality did not result in a kick. Upon raising this issue in the Tabletop Simulator Discord, Xoe was told that global chat was “not a place to discuss sexuality, fetishes, politics”. In a thorough Google document, Xoe has explained that she was “repeatedly being kicked” from “discussions about being gay by sharing that I am also gay”. Issues with Tabletop Simulator started when a player named Xoe said she had been kicked from a global chat for stating that she’s gay.
